Wolfburn 7 Year Old Coronation Of HM King Charles III (70cl, 57.8%)

Wolfburn is the northernmost Whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland and derives its name from the burn (stream) in which it takes its waters named Wolf. Originally the distillery opening was in 1821 just 350 meters from its current location and by the 1870’s it was marked in an ordinance survey map as a ruin. In 2012 approval was gained to build the new Wolfburn distillery which is the one producing at present. This bottle was released to commemorate the coronation of Great Britain’s new king Charles III on the 8th Sept. 2022. Once opened the aromas of citrus, forest berries, honey and smoke reach your nose, the palate is sweet with candy, walnuts, vanilla, and peat smoke with a medium long finish of vanilla, milk chocolate and peat smoke.
