Wolfburn – Aurora is a single malt whisky from Wolfburn (Highland). Bottled at 46.00% ABV, 70cl. Matured in bourbon, quarter & oloroso sherry casks.
Aurora was the distillery's second single malt release, launched in 2016. Although labelled "Sherry Oak" this release is matured in a a combination of different casks; 40% in second-fill quarter casks, 40% in first-fill bourbon barrels and 20% in first-fill oloroso sherry hogsheads.
A Malt whisky distillery in the northerly reaches of Scotland's Highland region. It was established in 2013 and was constructed upon the same site that the original Wolfburn distillery had stood in the early 19th century. The name is derived from the nearby water source.
