Ardmore – Traditional Cask (70cl, 46%)

Ardmore – Traditional Cask is a whisky from Ardmore (Highland). Bottled at 46% ABV, 70cl. Built to provide whisky for the Teacher’s blend in 1898, this Highlander’s main production is a peated whisky, but there is also a non-peated version called Ardlair (Ardless is its nickname) which accounts for around 40% of its output. Due to how prominent and significant its role as a base for a blend is, Ardmore is rarely found as a single malt, but a determined few followers seek it out as an independent bottling. A young peated whisky from the excellent Ardmore distillery, Ardmore traditional Cask has been finished in quarter casks to speed up maturation.
