Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 Year Old Straight Bourbon is a bourbon whiskey from Buffalo Trace (Kentucky, USA). Aged 20 years, bottled at 45.2% ABV, 70cl. Matured in new American oak casks. The 20 year old has become quite legendary, particularly after the theft of 65 three-bottle cases in 2013. It is also the expression that first brought the Van Winkle brand to prominence after being awarded an unprecedented score of 99 at the Beverage Testing Institute in 1996. A historic Kentucky distillery and the oldest still operating in the state. It is the flagship production facility of the Sazerac Company and in addition to its eponymous straight bourbon, also produces a host of brands such as Pappy Van Winkle, Col. E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare, Weller and Sazerac Rye.
