Pittyvaich – 1989 20 Year Old 2009 Release is a whisky from Pittyvaich (Speyside). Aged 20 years, bottled at 57.5% ABV, 70cl. Part of Diageo’s Special releases in 2009, this limited edition Speysider has been matured in refill American oak casks. Bizarrely this whisky has already survived longer than the distillery that produced it! The distillery produced for just eighteen years so single malt releases are very rare. Previous Pittyvaich bottlings were few and sherried in style, so this is the first opportunity to experience Pittyvaich’s true distillery character in a mature single malt bottling.
