Pittyvaich – 1989 25 Year Old is a whisky from Pittyvaich (Speyside). Aged 25 years, bottled at 49.9% ABV, 70cl. Only active from 1975 to 1993 and utilised mainly by Arthur Bell & Sons at a time when the blender’s fortunes were high, Pittyvaich is rarely seen as a single malt. It was bottled as part of Diageo’s Flora & Fauna range and occasionally in their Special Release series. The industrial-looking distillery in Speyside was demolished in 2002. An official bottling from the lost Pittyvaich distillery, which was active for a mere 19 years. This was aged in refill-Bourbon and American Oak hogsheads, and was limited to 5922 bottles.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
