GlenAllachie – 18 Year Old is a single malt whisky from GlenAllachie (Speyside). Aged 18 years, bottled at 46% ABV, 70cl.
Billy Walker took over this distillery and has completely transformed it in his time there. Previously he had worked at Glendronach and Benriach, both of which are held in very high regard. Prior to this it was mainly used to contribute towards blends for Chivas Brothers.
Matured in American oak, Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks this dram is giving all the Speyside giants a run for their money. It did so well that it ended up winning Gold in the 2019 Scottish Whisky Awards.
