GlenAllachie – 21 Year Old - Batch 5 is a single malt whisky from GlenAllachie (Speyside). Aged 21 years, bottled at 49.2% ABV, 70cl. Built and founded in 1967, The GlenAllachie malt whisky distillery was overseen by Mackinlay McPherson. A few years later in 1985 it was bought and mothballed by Invergordon Distillers. 1989 saw it bought by Campbell Distillers who looked to breathe new life into it. Its most recent history sees the master Billy Walker at the helm with Graham Stevenson and Trisha Savage by his side. Famous for their single cask releases and their sherried expressions, this distillery is one of the most exciting ones of modern times. With a very limited release of only 2,400 bottles available worldwide, this 21-year-old marries together the ultra-premium small-batch three vintage Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheons dating back to the late 90's each hand-picked by renowned Master Distiller Billy Walker.
