Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series No.3 London is a whisky from Maker's Mark (Kentucky, USA). Bottled at 55.4% ABV, 70cl. With nothing but a copy of a 170 year old whiskey recipe, Bill Samuels, Sr set out to create a Bourbon that wouldn’t “blow his ears off”. In an ingenious twist, Samuels, Sr decided to bake loaves of bread made up of various grains to drastically save time distilling. Further, by selecting soft, red winter wheat to replace the traditional rye grains common within Bourbon, he was able to create the sweet delicate taste which distinguishes Maker’s from the rest. His co-founder was Margie Samuels, the first woman involved in distilling to be inducted to the Hall of Fame. She was known for influencing many elements of Makers - the shape of the bottle, the appearance of the label and the recognisable red wax topper and the name of Maker’s itself owe their existence to Margery. No: 3 - London Please note minor creasing to carton. Please note some wax seals are prone to cracking in varying temperatures and transport conditions, therefore - as stated in our terms and conditions - we do not accept liability should these seals be found to show signs of splitting on delivery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
