Amador Whiskey 'Port Cask' is a rye whiskey sourced from the Willett family distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The mashbill is 74% rye, 11% corn and 15% barley.
It spent three years in new charred American oak barrels, then 9 to 12 months finishing in Amador County Terra d'Oro Port barrels, which give a red hue to its deep copper-brown colour. It is bottled at 92 proof (46%).
Expect classic rye spice with gingerbread, cookie dough, toffee, and hints of vanilla and honey. It is full bodied.
