Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.2 Red Wood Wine Finish (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan Edition No.2 is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 47% and finished in red wine. It is non-chill filtered and natural colour. The Amahagan series was created with a focus on blending, ahead of future single malt releases. This edition follows Edition No. 1 and adds a further maturation that draws on the character of red wine. The whisky has a reddish, glossy brick colour. Tasting notes describe raisins and berries from the wine alongside malty character. The palate is sweet with grain, tightened by moderate astringency, and a fresh orange peel note comes through afterwards.
