Amahagan World Malt Whisky Edition No.4 Yamazakura Wood Finish (70cl, 47%)

Amahagan Edition No.4 is a Japanese malt whisky bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is based on Amahagan Edition No.1, a blend of malt from the Nagahama Distillery built on overseas malt whisky, and it is given further maturation in Yamazakura, a wood native to Japan. The colour is reddish amber. The nose keeps the malty sweetness of the Nagahama malt alongside a gentle sweet scent of wild cherry blossom. On the palate there are sakura mochi and plum, with orange peel and black honey typical of the Amahagan series, and a soft sweetness that spreads across the mouth. The finish has a pleasant astringency, like black tea.
