Ardbeg – 17 Year Old Old Design (70cl)

This is a 17 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, in a 70cl bottle and in the older label design. The expression was introduced in 1997, when The Glenmorangie Company bought Ardbeg from Allied Lyons. The distillery was then coming out of years of reduced production and long spells of inactivity, so only enough aged stock existed to keep the 17 Year Old available until 2004. It was then discontinued for good.
