Ardbeg – 25 Year Old Limited Edition (70cl, 46%)

A 25 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, distilled in the 1990s and bottled at 46% ABV after 25 years of maturation. It comes in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the distillery's core range, though in limited quantities because of its age. Ardbeg's whisky creator describes it as keeping the smoky punch of the house style, alongside a complexity and elegance not found in other Ardbeg bottlings. The nose offers smoked cream, peppermint, toffee, fennel and pine resin. The palate is hot and peppery, with sherbet lemon, carbolic soap and tar.
