This is a 25 year old Ardbeg, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and not chill-filtered. It joins the distillery's core range.
The whisky comes from casks that were filled during some of the distillery's darkest days.
The nose offers smoked cream and earthy bonfires, with pine and fragrant candle wax. Hot pepper rises on the palate alongside lemon sherbet sweetness, with carbolic soap and tar. The long finish carries aniseed, cream and fudge.
