Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt bottled at 46.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and it is non-chill-filtered. It is built around a newly established oak Gathering Vat, in which whiskies from several cask types, including Pedro Ximenez, virgin charred oak and ex-bourbon, are left to come together.
It is described as smoky and powerful, softened by a smooth sweetness. Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in butterscotch, black pepper and clove.
