Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt, bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle.
It matures in a combination of sherry casks, Virginia oak casks and American oak casks. The smoke typical of Ardbeg is present, alongside more spice and fruit than in the distillery's other whiskies.
The nose offers peat smoke, caramel, citrus fruit, dried fruit and vanilla. The palate is smoky and very spicy, with cinnamon, caramel and aniseed, and the finish is long, lightly smoky and sweet.
