An Islay single malt bottled at 50.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, released in 2020 as a limited edition for the 20th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee, which was founded in 2000.
For the occasion the distillery used Pinot Noir casks from New Zealand, the first time it had done so. New Zealand was chosen as the country furthest from Islay, another remote island nation where sheep are said to outnumber people seven to one.
It is described as velvety summer fruit pudding and bitter cherry, with a deeper edge of soot and Ardbeg's characteristic smoke.
