Ardbeg – Corryvreckan (75cl)

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a heavily peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle, named after the Corryvreckan whirlpool off the coast of Scotland. It is matured in French oak and ex-bourbon casks, and bottled non-chill filtered at a higher strength. The nose is described as intense peat smoke with dark berries, espresso, sea spray and cracked black pepper. On the palate come bold smoke, dark chocolate, black cherries, spicy oak and earthy herbal notes, with an oily texture. The finish is long and spicy, with lingering peat smoke, espresso and a salty, maritime edge.
