Wee Beastie is a five year old Islay single malt Scotch whisky from Ardbeg, in a 700ml bottle at 47.4% abv. It is non-chill-filtered.
The whisky spent its five years in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose combines pear, cracked black pepper, pine needles, vanilla and honey-glazed ham with aniseed, green apple, leather and coffee. On the palate come dark chocolate, hot tar, smoked bacon, aniseed and eucalyptus, which linger into the finish.
