Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a five year old Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 47.4% in a 70cl bottle and not chill-filtered. It is a permanent addition to the distillery's Ultimate Range.
It was made with the aim of being the rawest, smokiest Ardbeg yet, and is the youngest Ardbeg the distillery has produced. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin and a sharp tang of smoke. Chocolate, creosote and tar lead the palate, with savoury meats behind, and the finish is long and salty.
