Ardnahoe – PX Quarter Cask Limited Edition 2025 (70cl, 50%)

This is a single malt from Ardnahoe on Islay, released as Càraid Ìleach Edition No. 2 for the German market. It is a limited bottling of 2,613 bottles, filled at 50% ABV in 70cl bottles in 2025. The whisky matured entirely in Pedro Ximénez quarter casks, which were chosen by Andrew and Scott Laing together with the Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft. The cask brings dark fruit and sherry sweetness alongside maritime peat and smoke. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose has ripe raspberries, stewed plums and candied orange with a maritime peat note. The palate offers sweet sultanas and ripe figs, with spicy cinnamon and gentle smoke. The finish is long and warming, with a light touch of smoke.
