Bearface Elementally Aged Triple Oak

Bearface Elementally Aged Triple Oak is a Canadian whisky matured in three types of oak. It spends seven years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then moves to French oak red wine casks, and is finished in air-dried virgin Hungarian oak casks toasted to three different levels. The Elemental Aging gives the whisky its name: it matures in repurposed shipping containers exposed to the Canadian wilderness, so the climate works on the wood. The nose has crème brûlée, vanilla custard and black currants. The palate brings maple sugar candy, light milk chocolate and a hint of raspberry, and the finish is sweet and lingering, with subtle spice, dark cherry and maple syrup.
