Bowmore 15 Year Old 'Sherry Oak' is an Islay single malt matured for 15 years, with Oloroso sherry casks behind its rich mahogany colour. Bowmore was established in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal, and still uses floor malting and the No. 1 Vaults for ageing.
The nose offers dried fruits, treacle and roasted nuts with gentle peat smoke. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with dark chocolate, raisins and spiced orange, balanced by leather and toasted oak. The finish is lingering, with sweet sherry, smoky embers and warming spice.
