This is a 29 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, released in the Timeless Series. It was matured in sherry-seasoned European oak and ex-bourbon American oak casks laid down in 1991 and 1992, and has a deep amber colour.
The nose offers sherry-soaked raisins, cocoa, orange marmalade, cherry blossom and subtle liquorice, with warm Christmas spices. On the palate are plum jam, dates, dark chocolate, espresso and gentle oak spice, with a touch of salinity and soft peat smoke.
