Bowmore – 30 Year Old 2022 Release

Bowmore 30 Year Old is a single malt from Islay, in its 2022 release. It was matured for three decades in Sherry hogsheads and Bourbon barrels, and each year's bottling is drawn from just two casks. The colour is a natural burnished gold. The whisky takes its cues from the markings on driftwood and the polish of sea glass, a link to the island and the landscape around the distillery. The nose offers ripe apricot, charred pineapple, mango and butterscotch. On the palate, tropical fruit and honey sweetness meet gentle peat smoke and hints of eucalyptus, leading to a warming, lingering finish.
