Bruichladdich – 10 Year Old Old Skool, Distillery Resurrection 25th Anniversary 2001-2026 (70cl)

Bruichladdich Old Skool is a ten-year-old unpeated Islay single malt, released for the 25th anniversary of the distillery's resurrection in 2001. It is distilled from 100% Islay-grown barley and matured mostly in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, with a small share of first-fill Sauternes, in a 70cl bottle. The label design draws on the distillery's single malt bottlings of the 1970s and 1980s. Bruichladdich was founded in 1881 and was mothballed between 1994 and its revival in 2001. It is described as having bright cereal notes, citrus and stone fruit beside soft vanilla sweetness, with a gentle floral edge from the wine casks.
