The Bruichladdich Eighteen is the first permanent 18 year old single malt in the wider Bruichladdich range. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from the first crop of Islay-grown barley, along with organically grown grain and varieties from the Scottish mainland. It was matured entirely on Islay, mainly in bourbon casks with a small number of sauternes and Port casks, then vatted and married for nine months before bottling.
The nose offers honey, butterscotch and orange. The palate brings tropical fruits and mellow toasted oak.
