This is a 32 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 1985 and drawn from the last 22 casks of the distillery's legacy stock. It is unpeated, naturally coloured and bottled without chill filtration, in a release of 4,200 bottles.
The spirit was first filled into third-fill Bourbon casks and rested in warehouse 14 until 2012. Then master distiller Jim McEwan came across the forgotten parcel and re-racked it into fresh Bourbon casks, with a final period in French oak.
