Bruichladdich – 22 Year Old 2001 Sauternes Wine Cask #R190200001 Artful Dodger Whisky Collective (50cl, 54.4%)

A 22-year-old unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled by the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective at a cask strength of 54.4% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It was distilled in 2001 and matured for its whole life in a single Sauternes wine cask, which lays dessert-wine sweetness over the farm-like character of the distillate. The outturn was 275 bottles, bottled without chill filtration or added colouring. The nose is ripe clementines, fresh lemon, sweet farmyard funk and mint chocolate. On the palate come baked apples, browned butter and toasted marshmallows.
