Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014 is an eight-year-old unpeated Islay single malt, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The barley was grown only on Islay, on eight local farms (Coull, Rockside, Island, Mulindry, Cruach, Dunlossit, Craigens and Sunderland), all within 11 miles of the distillery.
It was matured entirely on Islay in first-fill bourbon casks, sherry butts and second-fill wine casks. It is non-chill filtered and free of added colouring.
The whisky is cereal-led, with apricot, peach, fresh grass and tropical fruit, and a subtle maritime edge.
