Bruichladdich – Islay Barley 2014 (70cl, 50%)

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014 is a single malt bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from barley grown on Islay, with the harvest, distillation and maturation all taking place on the island. Apricot and peach run through a cereal-led character, with a subtle maritime note. On the nose there are soft, ripe gooseberries, fresh pineapple and mango. The palate is malty, sweet and cereal-like, with milk chocolate, a flash of freshly harvested celery and a hint of crispy bacon. The finish brings stone fruits, vanilla custard and delicate floral notes.
