A single cask Bruichladdich from the Micro Provenance series, 16 years old and filled from cask no. 2525 into a 70cl bottle. It is unpeated, made with Optic barley and matured entirely in a third-fill ex-Syrah red wine cask. The release runs to 300 bottles.
The nose offers sweet barley and honeyed cereal, with citrus peel and red orchard fruits. On the palate come soft oak spice, raspberry and plum with a velvety texture. The finish is dry and warming, with a hint of sea breeze and lingering fruit.
