Octomore 11.1 is a heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 59.4% ABV in a 700ml bottle. The spirit was distilled in 2014 from 100% Scottish barley of the 2013 harvest and filled into active ex-American oak.
It spent five years in contact with first fill wood, which brings smoke together with sweet vanilla.
Peat is large on the palate, yet it sits in balance with clean fruit and floral notes.
