Bruichladdich Octomore 15.2 is a heavily peated Islay single malt, in a 70cl bottle at 57.9% ABV. It is distilled from 100% Scottish Mainland barley peated to 108.2 PPM.
Part of the 15th Octomore series, this bottling is matured in bourbon, wine and Cognac casks, giving European oak a prominent role alongside the peat.
The nose is sweet, with lime zest and lemon meringue pie over earthy peat smoke and toasted oak. The palate is viscous, with vanilla custard, caramel and toffee, balanced by black pepper and cinnamon. The finish is maritime, with salt spray and lingering peat embers.
