Bruichladdich – Octomore 16.1 Super Heavily Peated Single Malt (59.3%)

Octomore 16.1 is a super heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. It is the reference point of the 16th edition of the Octomore series, bottled at 59.3% with a phenol level of 101.4 PPM. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose brings sea spray, orchard fruits and dried heather over a delicate but immediate peat smoke. The palate offers salted caramel, honeyed melon and apricot, with sweet malt sugars and an earthy minerality. The finish is long, with black pepper, toffee and lingering campfire smoke.
