An Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made with barley grown at Church Field on Octomore Farm and malted to 189.5 PPM. It was distilled in 2019, aged for five years in bourbon, Sauternes and Pedro Ximenez casks, and bottled in 70cl at natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose combines heather, distant bonfire smoke, barley sugar, fresh bread, lemon zest and green apple peel. The palate has honeyed malt, toasted grain, orchard fruit and citrus, with a touch of vanilla and delicate smoke with sea salt. The finish is sweet barley and floral notes, then gentle bonfire smoke, citrus and minerality.
