The Classic Laddie is an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made from 100% Scottish barley. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered, after maturing in first-fill bourbon, European sherry and French wine casks.
The nose is fresh, with green apple, pear, peach and citrus peel over honey, malt sugar and vanilla, plus a light floral note and a hint of sea salt. The palate is creamy, with toasted malt, butterscotch, toffee and orchard fruit, then a little black pepper and fresh oak. The finish is long and clean, with malt sweetness, citrus and a touch of sea salt.
