The Classic Laddie is a 10 year old single malt from Bruichladdich, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. It is not chill-filtered, so the tiny particles that carry some of the flavour stay in the whisky.
The nose is softly sweet from toasted oak, with ripe orchard fruit, delicate floral notes and lemon and orange. The palate has a syrupy texture, with sweet barley malt, roasted almonds and candied lemon zest, along with a restrained salty, maritime note from the distillery's position on the Atlantic coast.
The finish is long, with a salty sea breeze and citrus freshness.
