Bruichladdich – The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley (4.5L, 50%)

This is The Classic Laddie, an unpeated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 50% in a large 4.5 litre bottle. It is made from 100% Scottish barley. The whisky matures in American oak casks by the shore of Loch Indaal. It is non-chill-filtered and has natural colour, with no added caramel. The nose is fresh, with sweet malt, barley, wild meadow flowers and a sea breeze, followed by ripe fruit, lemon balm and bourbon vanilla. On the palate it is soft and creamy, with honey, brown sugar, ripe peaches and oak spice. The finish is long, clean and floral, with Atlantic salt and sweet malt.
