Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie is an unpeated Islay single malt made from 100% Scottish grown barley, in a 750ml bottle at 50% ABV (100 proof). It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Each batch is assembled by the head distiller from a wide range of casks, so it is a multi vintage malt. The spirit is made on Victorian equipment dating from the building of the distillery in 1881, and matured in American and French oak on the shores of Loch Indaal.
The nose has barley sugar, mint and wildflowers, and the palate is oily, with orchard fruit, buttered toast and dried apricot. The finish is long and gently sweet, with vanilla, melon and a faint minerality.
