Bruichladdich – The Laddie 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

The Laddie Eight is an unpeated single malt from Bruichladdich and the distillery's first eight-year-old. It was released under head distiller Adam Hannett and comes in a 70cl bottle. It builds on the crisp, malty character of Bruichladdich's trickle-distilled new make spirit, matured in a variety of casks that bring different levels of toasting and charring. The nose is fresh apple and pear, pear drops, apricot and pineapple, with vanilla oak and barley sugar. On the palate, pepper gives way to mango, peach, honey and toffee, with a creamy texture. The finish is long, with sea breeze, heather honey, citrus and lingering vanilla.
