Bunnahabhain – 12 Year Old (46.3%)

This is a 12 year old Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled by Burn Stewart at 46.3% and not chill-filtered. The bottle carries the head of a sailor. The name is Gaelic for mouth of the river, a reference to the Margadale River. The nose is fresh and aromatic, with nuts, caramel and a fine note of smoke. The palate is light, with fruit, a touch of vanilla, walnuts and malt. The finish is long and sweet.
