This Dailuaine is a 10 year old single cask from the Cask Masters range by Brave New Spirits, part of its Golden Proof collection. Dailuaine is a Speyside distillery, and this whisky was aged in an ex-Bourbon cask.
It was bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or artificial colour. The cask gave 316 bottles.
The nose is described as vanilla bean, apple and pear, with oak spice. On the palate come custard cream biscuits, travel sweets and malt, then honey, vanilla paste and a drying bourbon spice. The finish is slow and smooth, with a dessert-like sweetness.
