Centennial Limited Edition 10 Year Old is a Canadian whisky made by Highwood Distillers in High River, Alberta, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).
It is distilled mainly from wheat and rye grown in western Canada, using continuous column stills. The whisky spends at least ten years in charred American oak barrels in the dry, high-altitude climate of southern Alberta, after which selected barrels are blended together.
The nose is light and sweet, with vanilla cream, butterscotch, toasted oak, apple, pear and a little rye spice. The palate is smooth and silky, with caramel, sweet corn, cinnamon, honey and some dried fruit. The finish is clean and of medium length, with sweet oak, vanilla and a gentle peppery warmth.
