Chichibu Ichiro's Malt Wine Wood Reserve is a Japanese whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% vol.
It is a blend of whiskies from the now closed Hanyu distillery, Scottish malts and whisky from the Chichibu distillery. It is finished in French red wine casks.
The nose combines red wine, oak, red fruit and berries, dark chocolate and orange peel. The palate is spicy and dry, with light pepper, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and red fruit. The finish is long and malty, with fine oak.
