This is a 12 year old single malt from Inchmurrin, the fruit-led make of Loch Lomond Distillery, bottled by Chorlton Whisky. It comes from a single first-fill barrel of lightly peated spirit, at a cask strength of 56.3% ABV, and was limited to 201 bottles.
Chorlton bottles single casks at natural strength, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The nose offers almond brittle, fruit salad, hibiscus tea and piña colada. On the palate come guava, lime, warm oranges and coal tar, with the peat adding grit rather than obvious smoke.
