Crown Royal Deluxe is a Canadian blended whisky made from 50 whiskies, using rye, corn and barley. It is made in Gimli, Manitoba, with limestone-filtered water from Lake Winnipeg, and matured in used and first-fill charred oak barrels. The brand was first created in 1939 to mark the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
This bottle holds 1.75 litres at 40% ABV. The nose has rich vanilla, maple syrup, fruit and a hint of nuttiness. On the palate it is smooth and creamy, with oak, vanilla, rye spice and dried-fruit sweetness, followed by a medium-long finish.
