Refill American oak hogshead
A 43 year old single cask Dallas Dhu from Speyside, distilled in 1979 and matured in a refill American oak hogshead. It yielded 155 bottles. It belongs to Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection Series 1, personally selected by members of the Urquhart family. Dallas Dhu closed in 1983 and has been a whisky museum since 1992. The nose combines ripe tropical fruit, honey and dried banana with faint floral notes, vanilla pod and a hint of grapefruit. The palate has orange zest, butterscotch and Brazil nut, then pineapple and mango giving way to toasted oak. The finish is full and sweet, with lemon and faint spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
