Sherry Cask Select is a 12 year old Dalmore single malt in the distillery's Principal Collection, bottled at 43%.
The whisky spends ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, which establish the house style of chocolate, orange and spice. It is then finished in a selection of hand-picked sherry barrels from Andalusia in Spain.
The nose brings soaked raisins, milk chocolate and toffee, with raspberry jam, orange juice, a little balsamic, mint and light nuttiness. The finish is not too long, fairly honeyed, with latte, more chocolate and gentle oak spice.
